What will you learn on our social system lead auditor course?

On completion of the training you will be able to:

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the SA 8000 audit and certification process
  • Have the skills and knowledge needed to plan, conduct, report and follow-up third party audits against the requirements of a social system based on SA 8000 Social Systems
  • Meet the training requirements for registration as a social systems Auditor or Lead Auditor with the IRCA

Audience This five day course provides an opportunity for Social Systems Management professionals to update their skills in interactive and supportive surroundings.
Case study materials and role-play exercises are used to develop and practice skills in all phases of auditing. Participants are continually assessed and required to complete a midcourse test along with an end-of-course written examination.

Who is this course for?

This course is aimed at all those involved or with an interest in the field of social accountability, particularly those with a responsibility for supply chain monitoring.

Ideally delegates will already have some experience of auditing quality, environmental or health & safety issues.

Before starting this course, Learners are expected to have the following prior knowledge:

Knowledge of SA 8000.

Career path

Learners who pass both the examination and the continuous assessment will be issued “Certificate of Achievement” that satisfies the formal training for an individual seeking certification as an CQI / IRCA auditor / lead auditor.

The “Certificate of Achievement” is valid for five years from the date of the last day of the Course for the purpose of certifying as an auditor with the CQI / IRCA.
